This is known bug with Android OS, not with the Psyndora Radio App.
This bug was eventually fixed in Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), but the corresponding update hasn't been released by the device manufacturers (OEMs). For Nexus devices, Google will fix this issue as part of Android-N, expected in Fall 2016. For other OEMs like Samsung, we cannot confirm if they intend to release a software update that contains the fix.
Android 5.0 - 5.1: None. You must disable Battery Saver mode if you would like music streaming to continue in the background.
Android 6.0 and above (all manufacturers, including Samsung):
Recommended: You must disable Battery Saver mode if you would like music streaming to continue in the background.
Not Recommended, but proven to work: Disable Battery Optimization for Psyndora Radio
Go to Phone Settings > Battery
Select 'Battery Optimization' from the menu icon in the top-right of the screen.
Select All apps from the drop-down menu in the center of the display.
Scroll down to Psyndora Radio and ensure the switch is turned off.
